Biography:

Ms. Wagner practices on our complex civil litigation team.  Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Wagner spent five years working in insurance defense.  She has successfully tried cases across North Carolina, and has also obtained positive outcomes for her clients through pre-trial motions, arbitrations, and mediations.  Ms. Wagner’s extensive experience representing insurance companies gives her a competitive edge when litigating injury cases and negotiating settlements for our clients.  Ms. Wagner also has experience handling cases involving employment law, insurance coverage, and insurance subrogation.  Additionally, Ms. Wagner represents both small and large corporations involved in business disputes, along with performing collections services for these clients.

Education:

Ms. Wagner received her Juris Doctor degree from Wake Forest University in 2004, where she competed nationally with the School of Law’s trial team.  Ms. Wagner attended law school on a full scholarship awarded for academic merit.

Ms. Wagner received her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Wake Forest University in 2000.  Ms. Wagner was inducted into four academic honor societies and was on the Dean’s List every semester.  She also served on the WFU Student Government where she chaired several committees and served on the President’s Cabinet.  She was also an officer in the student spirit organization, the Screamin’ Demons.

Ms. Wagner, who is originally from central Florida, attended Lakeland Senior High School, where she graduated ninth in her class of over 300 students.  Ms. Wagner was involved in many extra-curricular organizations including the National Honor Society and Student Government.  Ms. Wagner was also on the varsity dance team, and served as Captain her senior year.

Personal:

When she is not working, Ms. Wagner enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and three dogs. She also enjoys traveling, scuba diving, boating, kayaking, and hiking. An avid runner, Ms. Wagner runs in most local 5, 10, and 15k races. Additionally, Ms. Wagner runs at least two half-marathons annually. Ms. Wagner also serves on the planning committee of the annual New Hanover County Bark for Life, which raises thousands of dollars annually for the American Cancer Society.
